In October of 2023, I underwent Bariatric Surgery with a Gastric Bypass. This has seen a major change in my body shape. I began to see this process as a way to start new as it really is about a whole lifestyle change. I wasn't confident in myself, and I saw clothes as being something I had to wear, never really thinking about how I looked. In fact, I don't have any mirrors in my house that enable me to see what a whole outfit looks like, probably just as well because if I saw how I looked I probably wouldn't have gone out. I reached out to Gabrielle as I wanted to learn how to dress to suit my changing shape and to look outside the box of my norm.
The biggest challenge was seeing myself in the mirror. She used photos to show me the difference between how I would normally wear something to how I could look if I change a few simple things. Gabrielle showed me that wearing more fitted clothes enhanced my figure more than the baggy clothes I used to wear to hide in.
Shopping with Gabrielle was the absolute best part. She showed me how to look at clothes with more interest and how to focus and enhance the parts I love about my shape. Gabrielle gave me the confidence to dress according to my personality and style, as my shape continues to change over this journey.

Gabrielle, I just wanted to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn through your guidance. I may still have a little way to go before I am completely comfortable with the mirror but the confidence I have with my body as it shape-shifts is addictive and that is all because you gave me the guidance and the space to confront my fears and work with them instead of getting held back by them.
